  1. Go to pages and Files in the menu above.
  2. Find the Collaborators Folder.
  3. Open a New Folder with your name .
  4. Create a new page in this folder.
  5. Give your page a title.
  6. Select Edit.

This is a text editor so you can enter text as needed.

Remember to save.

 

Creating a Table

 

  1. A Wiki is a white Blank Page so it is important to create a more attractive and readable space by inserting a table.
  2. Go to Table in the menu.
  3. Insert a two column table like the one below.

However you will find that when you save it will not always look good. The table column will stretch according to the amount of words or picture size, which means that when you save your page will look different, or some information might be off screen.

 

The solution is an easy one.

Set the table size. 

 

  1. Right Click and select cell. Select cell properties.
  2. Enter a width of 500. (You can change the border colour from here too. However Wikis are about information not colour.)
  3. Do the same with the column on the right. Set this to 450 pixels.
  4. Save and see the difference between the table above and the table below.

Inserting an Image

 

Uploading material is not allowed on this WIKI.

Uploading images is not recommended on any WikI as images take up space. (Free Wikis offer a limited 2G space)

Images need to be inserted.

 

  1. Find a URL address for an image you would like to insert. (You can use your own Imgur account or google search. )
  2. Select Images and Files from the Page Tools Bar on the right of your page.
  3. Select the option Insert image from URL.
  4. Paste URL and enter.
  5. Save

Image size can be an issue.

  1. Set the Table Size to 400. 
  2. Find a large URL image.
  3. Follow the steps in the left column. 

 

 

Resizing the image.

 

Double Click on the image 

Change width to 400.

 		  

Embedding.

 

 

  1. Copy the embed code of the media you would like to insert.
  2. Find the Wiki page you would like to embed media in.
  3. Select Edit 
  4. Place the cursor in the place where you would like to embed your media. (Embedding happens right where your cursor happens to be.)
  5. Select Source from the menu bar.
  6. The cursor will be at the correct position.
  7. Paste. (CTRL V)
  8. Remember that the size needs to be the correct size for the column. If it is 400 or 500 pixels then the embed code has to be corrected accordingly.
  9. Select source to return to the text editor. (As you do in Blogger) 
  10. Check
